Love this rice!

We have been eating Chico brown rice for a few years now, and I can’t imagine a better rice. Perfect texture and flavor, easy to cook, and the company has good values.

Wonderful "bite" and flavor. Fluffy, too.

I used this rice twice in my brand new rice cooker (actually the same one that is pictured in the directions on "How to Cook Brown rice in a rice cooker". I used 1 cup rice to 2 cups water. Time was 1 hr. 10 mins. Rice was hard and there was still water left in the cooker. Then I had a brilliant idea-SOAK THE RICE!! It's not in the directions, but the rice was perfect! I soaked it for about 1 1/2 hrs., room temp. And then cooked it using the 1 cup rice to 2 cups water ratio. NOW I am excited about cooking this rice more often.

I did not know rice could taste so good

I tried this brown rice through Rancho Gordo, and ordered direct when R. G. was out of stock. We eat a fair amount of brown rice, at least several times per week, and this has become our favorite. It is nutty, flavorful, a little bit chewy. Pairs well with lentils or beans, is equally good with olive oil and herbs for a savory breakfast, with or without an egg, or just as a plain side dish. I look forward to trying the blond rice.
